Dave's Hot Chicken Review

We stopped by Dave's Hot Chicken coming from Walmart in Secaucus Jersey City. With the idea of getting something to eat for lunch we walked around Plaza Drive also in Secaucus New Jersey. There were several places to eat, but most of them were close and that could have been because of the weather.

There it was, Dave's Hot Chicken calling us to come and get some chicken. The restaurant had seating for about 30 people, the menu high above shining on the counter in red and white, listed a selection of different chicken takeout or eat-ins. Humm, they look really good. So, I thought my selection would be Large Top Loaded Fries. This high piled loaded selection came with cheese sauce, pickles, kale slow and topped with 10 Dave's Bites and drizzled with sauce. It was enough for two people. The other dish was Dave's Bites w/ Fries, a slice of bread, chicken and drizzled with sauce. We were asked if we wanted hot sauce. The hot sauce was either lite mild, mild, medium, hot, extra hot or reaper. We asked for hot, and it seemed like mild and wasn't offered the last two.

Overall, we really enjoyed the crispy chicken which was a little overcooked that caused it to look dark. The fries were good as well as the slaw. After you make your order, you were given a little beeper that buzzes when you order is ready. We really enjoy the service and the chicken and will give it a 7.9 and that's because they didn't offer the hotter sauces. Would I go back? Yes, and I suggest if you haven't been there, then go. You'll enjoy the food.
