I joined two of my friends for brunch at Buddy's on Washington Street in Jersey City. The outside of this restaurant attracts your eyes from the color and music. Inside is very nice, filled with warmth with very low music in the background, or it sounded low because two guys were talking too loudly. That was disturbing, and we could barely hear our conversation.

One of us had grilled cheese and home fries. Another one of us had pancakes, home fries, with egg and cheese on the side. I had spicy chicken quesadillas, but the chef forgot to make it spicy, so it was bland. Maybe they ran out. I had French fries on the side, which were a little droopy but good. We topped it with mimosas, which were strong. So, overall, I rated this place 1-10 a 7. I rated it a 7 because of the bland quesadillas, droopy French fries and those two guys talking very loudly. However, the table service was really good, but they don't have bottled water. Therefore, tap water was the choice. Will I go back? Yes, for the overall experience. Should you go, yes, do so and tell them Chef Rene Hewitt sent you?
